Curtain Order Guide

Curtain order procedure

1. Select the shape of the folds of the curtain

  • About twice as many folds
Use fabric that is about twice the finished width. The drape has volume and gives a classical and heavy impression.
  • About 1.5 times 2 folds

Use fabric that is about 1.5 times the finished width. Because the space between the folds is wide, it gives a clean impression. Printed textiles give a sense of luxury here as well.

  • About 1.3 times fold flat

Use fabric that is about 1.3 times the width of the rail. Because it does not take folds, it gives a simpler and cleaner impression.

*It will be finished with an A hook.

2. Measure the width of the rail

  • For functional rails: Measure from fixed runner to runner at both ends of the curtain rail.

*Functional rails are simple rails often used in apartments. A runner passes through the groove of the rail.

  • For decorative rails: Slide the ring runners onto the curtain rail caps and measure from ring runner to ring runner on each end.

*Decorative rails are often ring runners that pass through iron or wood poles. The caps on both ends are also highly interior, making it a rail with a strong presence.

3. Measure the length of the curtain

Measure from the bottom of the runner ring (the hole for hanging the curtain hook) for both the functional rail and the decorative rail.

  • For sweep windows: Measure from the bottom of the runner ring to the floor. Generally, the finished size will be -1 cm from the floor.

*Please specify the finished size after minus.

  • For waist windows: Measure from the bottom of the runner ring to the bottom of the window frame. Generally, the finished size will be +10 cm to 20 cm from the bottom of the window frame.

  • ・For counter windows (bay windows): If the rail is attached to the bay window, measure from the bottom of the runner ring to the top board.
The finished size will be -1 cm from the top plate.

*Please specify the finished size after minus. If the rail is on the outside of the bay window, measure it as a waist window.

4. Select curtain hook specifications

There are two types of curtain hooks: A hooks (attached to the ceiling) and B hooks (attached to the front).

  • The A hook is designed so that the curtain rail can be seen. The window side of the double rail is all A hooks. For the rail on the room side, A hooks are recommended in the following cases.

  • The B hook is designed to hide the curtain rail. In such a case, we recommend the B hook.

・When the functional rail is attached to the wall and hung on the single rail or on the indoor side of the double rail.

5.Select how to open the curtain

  •  Double doors: Large windows in the living room and dining room are often placed in double doors.

  • Single opening:If the window is not wide enough, you can use the single opening to make it look neater.

6. Select with or without tassels.

If

with is selected, 2 double doors and 1 single door will be added (added as an option).
